Eagles — Did this just really happen? Last week we watched the premier passing team (PATRIOTS) with one of the best QB’s in the league lose to our upcoming opponent. While all that is all going on the Eagles are also without their starting center and starting tackle.
Let just assume for a second both Andy and Marty actually watched film of the Pats vs. Cards, and of our game vs. the Ravens. So Monday the 17th while driving into work at 4:00 am Andy Reid called Marty on his cell with this brilliant idea for a game plan. He said…. “Marty this would be a good week to run the chuck and duck offense vs. the D that stymied Tom Brady because Vick is a way better QB than Brady, right?” He continued by saying… “We can use McCoy as a decoy and out think the Cards brass, I’m sure this’ll work out.” Marty said “sure boss sounds like a great plan to me!”
Vick was under duress all day. Mr. Turnover fumbled only twice but he had finally had no picks, good job Mike! We got throttled by the Arizona D, Kolb and the Cardinals.
“I have to do a better job” your right Andy you do! You can have all the talent in the world coach but if you don’t think before you execute then why bother? LeSean McCoy is a great running back and he was 13-70 with a 5.4 yard average. Andy, you know one really good way to stop the blitz, one guess big guy. RUN THE BALL! Vick 17-37 and as much as I think Vick is an average at best QB, he got killed 20 hits and 5 sacks and his coaches did not put him in a position to be successful. Yeah Andy this one is on you big guy! Last season the issue was the defense and turnovers. The D issue looks to be resolved through 3 games. This season again its turnovers and the stubborn head coach.
