It’s 11AM on a Sunday. You and your friends are trying to make plans. Maybe you just want a big burger with bacon and barbeque sauce; one friend wants wings; and another friend, fresh out of bed, still wants breakfast.
Located at 512 W. Germantown Pike in Plymouth Meeting, everyone can get what they want and still watch the game. Better yet, enjoy it outside on their upper patio with the sound on. You will forget that you’re even dining in the parking lot of a mall.
So my friends and I came to Redstone a couple of weeks ago for the 1pm game against the Browns, found a long table right in front of the flat screen TV, and just really enjoyed the experience. Our server, Joanna, was really attentive and was always there when we needed another round. And the atmosphere was very relaxing, with just enough people to be considered a best kept secret.
We ordered food off of the nosh menu, such as the buffalo chicken wings, buffalo chicken bites, and, my personal favorite, mini filet sliders with béarnaise sauce (three 2oz filets on mini burger rolls with fried onion rings and béarnaise sauce). My lone breakfast friend ordered the crab benedict, which is a toasted English muffin with sautéed spinach, and two lump crab cakes topped off with hollandaise sauce and served with a side of garlic herbed hash browns!
What about the drinks?
Just in time for the fall and football season, Redstone offers on draft 6 different beers:
Coors Light, Blue Moon, Stella, Dogfish Punkin’ Ale, Six Point Bengali Tiger American IPA, and Sam Adams Oktoberfest
Redstone’s beer bottle list is also quite extensive, with bottles from a few breweries that you won’t find anywhere else.
I’m just a casual beer drinker, but I really enjoyed the Elysian Night Owl Pumpkin Beer and the Founder’s Breakfast Stout.
A casual fine dining restaurant, Redstone opened in June of 2008 and was an instant hit in what most considered to be “the revitalization of the Plymouth Meeting Mall.” Everyday, Redstone serves up classic American cuisine, signature cocktails and beers. However, on Sundays, Redstone serves up brunch from 10am – 2pm. Pair any of their delicious brunch entrees with a mimosa or a spicy Bloody Mary, and start your game day off right. You even get complimentary morning bread right before your meal comes out. The morning breads vary from week to week, and have included lemon-blueberry, orange-coconut, banana bread, and will soon feature apple cinnamon bread.
